What are the different treatment modes for?
With 3 treatment modes you can really tailor your permanent hair reduction treatment.
The Power Mode is the highest intensity setting, perfect for stubborn hairs around your bikini line and underarms.
Select the Speed Mode to quickly complete treatments on larger surface areas like the arms and legs.
Or if your skin is prone to sensitivity in some areas, the Gentle Mode delivers an effective treatment at a lower energy output, making the whole process much more comfortable.
When in any of the 3 modes, you can use the Glide or Stamp Method. The Stamp Method is best for smaller areas such as the underarm and bikini line. It allows you to be more precise with the treatment in harder to reach areas. The Glide Method allows you to move the device at a steady speed across larger surface areas, to give full coverage at a quicker pace.
How do I switch between different treatment modes?
Power Mode is the default setting when your device is switched on. You can toggle between the three modes pressing the Mode Button underneath the main Activation Button.
How do I clean the SmoothSkin Pure?
Carefully wipe with a soft, dry cloth and ensure that the glass filter is undamaged after every use. Please see your user guide for further guidance.
Is there meant to be a glass filter in the treatment window?
No, there should not be any glass against the skin. The glass filter is recessed back into the device.
How often should I use the SmoothSkin Pure?
To get the most out of your SmoothSkin Pure you should start off by using it once a week for 12 weeks continuously. There is no increased benefit from using your SmoothSkin Pure more than once a week.
In the first few weeks, you will still see some hairs growing. These will likely be the hairs that were not treated in their growth phase (when IPL is most effective). Just be sure to keep up with the treatments. From around 4 weeks, you should be seeing a reduction in hair regrowth. There will still be some hairs that need treating as you need to catch each hair in the right phase.
Once you have completed your initial 12-week treatment period, you just need to do a quick top-up treatment as required to maintain your results – usually once every 4-8 weeks or so.
